About the Artwork
This artwork is inspired by the Hindu festival Holi. It is known as the 'Festival of Colour' and signifies the victory of good over evil.
It is part of a larger body of work that is a celebration of the modern woman in today's world. She understands where she has come from and where she is going next. She is socially aware and embraces her culture and heritage with a modern twist
This body of work is inspired by my travels as a young girl, backpacking around the world. It also embodies my keen interest in fashion and textiles.
