Biography

I am a Fine Artist and Jewellery Designer, originally from New Zealand and now  residing in Melbourne, Australia. For the past year I have dedicated my time between being a mother and full-time artist, building my first collection of oil paintings and limited edition prints. During this time I have also found a love of designing and making Polymer Clay Jewellery.Prior to becoming a full time artist, I finished a Bachelors Degree in Media Arts and Post- Graduate Diploma in Teaching. I spent seven years teaching Visual Arts in a variety of locations including a remote Aboriginal Community in the Kimberley, Western Australia.

I use my love of travel, textiles and fashion to inspire a lot of my work. As a young girl I spent years living overseas and traveling through a large portion of the Middle East, South East Asia and Europe. This travel helped instill a wonder for all things cultural and creative.

My current collection of work embodies colour, pattern and fashion from around the world. I have always loved patterns and the significance these have in different cultures. The mediums I use in my work are predominantly oil paint and gold leaf.
