About the artwork:
This artwork is inspired by festival fashion, in particular, the well known Coachella Festival in California. The background is inspired by the desert rose and the design has been adapted into a mandala pattern. These patterns are commonly used on bohemian printed fabrics.
It is part of a larger body of work that is a celebration of the modern woman in today's world. She understands where she has come from and where she is going next. She is socially aware and embraces her culture and heritage with a modern twist
This body of work is inspired by my travels as a young girl, backpacking around the world. It also embodies my keen interest in fashion and textiles.
